History
Mangala Vihara Buddhist Temple is a pioneer in conducting Colombo’s Young Men’s Buddhist Association (YMBA) Dhamma studies since 1960. It is now a centre for Buddhist Studies. Several of our students having graduated are now Dhamma Teachers in the Centre while others are teaching in various temples or Buddhist Societies in Singapore.

Registration | For Children & Youths, enrollment is accepted anytime of the year and admitted to their school level. All enrollment is done during Sunday class after the morning Puja service around 10am. The MVSDS secretaries will be on hand to provide assistance to enroll interested students. MVSDS office is on the 2nd floor, at the far end of Chew Quee Neo Hall, (near restroom). Not open during school holiday, please check SDS calendar above. | For adult YMBA, enrollments start in July and we accept new students up to October, before the year-end holidays in Nov and Dec. No new students will be accepted between Jan and Jun, as that will be the period for the run-up to the examination in June. Exceptions may be made in cases of students who join to repeat a level they had previously sat for. All enrollment is done during Sunday class after the morning Puja service around 10am.
